Mechanical Properties
Single-phase motors are totally enclosed, fan cooled with squirrel cage rotors. Frame sizes from IEC 71 to 90.
Construction Types:
Foot mounted, flange mounted and foot mount with flange types are available for the above frame sizes.
Protection:
The standard degree of protection
IP 44..
Bearings:
Standard motors are equipped with ZZ ball bearings.
Shaft End:
Motor shafts have tapped holes in the drive end according to DIN 6885 / 6888. Motors are delivered with keys.
Fan:
Fans are made of durable synthetic material and the construction allows rotation in both directions.
Paint:
Standard motors are painted in grey.
Construction Details
Stator Frame:
Motor frames are manufactured by high pressure die casting of aluminium alloy which is light, resistant to corrosion and mechanical shocks; and also has excellent thermal conductivity.
Feet:
Motors have fixed feet.
Endshields:
Endshields are made of aluminium. Fan covers are made of sheet steel. The bearing bores are reinforced with steel sleeves.
Centrifugal Switch & Mechanism:
With the internally mounted switch and mechanism group, high starting torques are provided.
Terminal Box:
The terminal box is on the right hand side as seen from the drive end.
Capacitors:
Motors use run and / or start options
Electrical Properties
Voltage and Frequency:
Standard motors are designed for 230 V, 50 Hz. Other voltages and 60 Hz frequency are available.
Technical Data:
Published technical data is valid for the following conditions:–
  230 V supply voltage
  50 Hz frequency
  Max. 40° C ambient temperature
  Altitudes up to 1000m above sea level.
Insulation Class:
The standard insulation class is B.
For 40° C ambient temperature, the maximum temperature rise is 80 Kelvin.
